Advantage on Arcana

Announcement: Extravagant Sehlkwen's Rumours of Treasure Is Published!

I work better with a deadline. I always have. I'm more likely to complete a job at all if I have a deadline.

When I discovered last week that Atlas Games released David Somerville's The Star-Shaman's Song of Planegea under an Open Game License and that the first 30 people to release a Planegea product using this license would win a prize, I decided to try. I have a lot of stories I want to tell in the setting. I found out about the announcement a few weeks' late, so I had to severely scope my initial project, and I wound up staying up quite late one ... well, morning, but I got it done.

Which is to say, Extravagant Sehlkwen's Rumours of Treasure is up on DrivethruRPG!

Cover - Extravagant Sehlkwen

Extravagant Sehlkwen's Rumours of Treasure: A Compendium of Magic Items for Planegea Games contains 28 magic items with connections to the setting of Planegea, including two different ways of converting books to a Planegea-appropriate magic item. It also has one new spell.

I learned a lot in a short time, but I think I can probably get more products up now that I've done it once, even without deadlines. I suppose we will see.

Acknowledgements: I would not have gotten this project finished on time were it not for The Homebrewery, Texturelabs, and their very generous licenses. The same, of course, is ture Atlast Games, David Somerville, and Planegea. I also must acknowledge the players in my Fortunes of Ewistar campaign, who effectively play-tested some of the items. As a matter of conscience, I will note that you've seen previous versions of a few of the magic items in this document in my post "Items That Play With Taxonomies," but there are several you have not seen before and those you have seen have been updated in fluff, crunch, or both.

The product is PWYW; honestly, I'm fine with it if you take it for free. I'm just happy to have gotten something up.

Thanks for the journey so far. I hope you stick around.
